"I am so excited because as a student, I had read about Fauja Singh, who is currently a 98 years young marathon runner. I had dreamt to run a Marathon myself. Over the years, I had seen so many friends and fellow consultants run marathons across the world, now my time has come. I am hoping to see my family, friends, and peers to support me in this most exciting event of my life time as I continue to train over the next 8 months", says Mr. M.S. Oberoi, Director & Principal Consultant.

Vilas Saraf, a Management Consultant with over 3 decades of experience across the globe has volunteered to run 5k race to augment Dexteyra’s team of consultants during the event. He says, "Running a Marathon has been one of my unfulfilled desires for a long time. I am gearing myself to be fit enough to participate and fulfill my desire. I am eagerly looking forward to the event!"

We are expecting to get more participation from our peers and family as a morale booster for the difficult event. Brief introductions of our volunteers will be added on to this page.

The marathon is a long-distance foot race with an official distance of 42.195 kilometers (26 miles and 385 yards) that is usually run as a road race. The event was instituted in commemoration of the fabled run of the Greek soldier Pheidippides, a messenger from the Battle of Marathon (the namesake of the race) to Athens.

The Toronto Marathon, held annually in October, is a race from Mel Lastman Square, in the north end of Toronto, to Queen's Park. The race was initially called the Canadian International Marathon, and was first held in 1995.

The revenue generated during the course will be donated to Canadian Red Cross. For information or to participate, please email to info@dexteyra.com.
